It can be used as algaecide for swimming pool, oil field water, industrial circulating cooling water systa bactericide. Compound with octyldecyldimethylammonium chloride, bisdecyldimethylammonium chloride, the fourth generation of quaternary ammonium biocides, with excellent bactericidal properties, suitable for the treatment of industrial water under the conditions of organic dirt and hard water pollution.

Other applications: used as mothproofing agent for woolen fabrics, cleaner and disinfectant for hard surfaces.
