How to use corrosion inhibitor and scale inhibitor for boilers

The usage methods for products from different manufacturers may vary. Below, we will outline the usage instructions for this product from Kaiwei Chemical:

Add the chemical agent at a ratio of 200g per ton of water to the boiler makeup water. During use, ensure proper drainage, with drainage required once per hour, each lasting 5-10 seconds. If the boiler is operating with scale buildup, increase the chemical agent dosage, drain more frequently, and after 10-20 days of operation, shut down the boiler, manually clean off the detached scale to prevent blockages in the pipes, then resume normal operation.

If possible, measure the boiler water concentration ratio and maintain it around 10 times. Other parameters should be adjusted according to relevant labor department regulations (e.g., boiler water pH 10-12, etc.). The chemical addition tank should be made of plastic. Cement-made tanks should be treated with corrosion protection to prevent chemical corrosion, which could increase water hardness.

The total hardness of boiler makeup water should be controlled below 200 mg/L. If hardness is too high, it can be reduced using lime treatment or other methods; otherwise, the scale inhibition effectiveness of KR-503 will be impaired.
