Corrosion inhibitor sodium ethylenediamine tetramethylenephosphate performance unveiled
EDTMPS is a nitrogen-containing organic polyphosphonic acid, which is a cathodic type corrosion inhibitor. Compared with inorganic polyphosphonates, it has a higher corrosion inhibition rate, which can reach 3 to 5 times. In addition, EDTMPS is miscible with water, non-toxic and non-polluting, has excellent chemical stability and temperature resistance, and still effectively hinders scale formation at temperatures up to 200℃. When EDTMPS is dissolved in water, it will decompose into 8 positive and negative ions, so it can form coordination compounds with many metal ions, forming a loose reticulation complex structure and dispersed in the water, which helps to disrupt the normal crystallization process of calcium scale.EDTMPS has a good inhibition effect on calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scales.
EDTMPS is widely used as a corrosion and scale inhibitor for circulating water and boiler water, and can also be used as a complexing agent for cyanide-free plating, a chelating agent in textile printing and dyeing industry, and an oxygen bleaching stabilizer.

It can be used in circulating cooling water at a dosage of 2-10mg/L. EDTMPS can be used in low-pressure boiler furnace water treatment after compounding with HPMA at the ratio of 1:3. EDTMPS can also be compounded with BTA, PAAS, zinc salt and so on.
Packing and storage
EDTMPS is packed in plastic drums, 25kg per drum or according to user’s need. Stored in a cool place indoor, storage period of six months.

EDTMPS is neutral, pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc., and flush with plenty of water immediately after contact.
