1. Bactericidal principle: isothiazolinones bactericides mainly rely on the active part of the heterocyclic ring to destroy the DNA molecules in the bacterial cells, so that the bacteria become inactive. They form hydrogen bonds with the bases on the DNA molecules in the proteins of bacteria and adsorb them on the cells of bacteria, playing the role of attacking the nucleus of the cell, thus destroying the structure of the DNA in the cell, causing it to lose the ability to replicate, and losing the related physiological and biochemical reactions as well as metabolic activities, thus causing the cell death.
2. Application areas: Isothiazolinones biocides are widely used in iron and steel smelting, oilfield water injection, oil refineries, thermal power plants, large-scale fertiliser plants, paper mills, light textiles, water-coated coatings, industrial cleaning and other fields. In addition, they are also used in personal care products, cosmetics, paints, pulp and other fields.
3. Antimicrobial ability: Isothiazolinone has h3 antimicrobial effect on many kinds of bacteria and fungi, with high efficiency, better compatibility, wide pH application range, and capable of natural biodegradation.
