What is AA/AMPS? AA/AMPS Export Company
AA/AMPS is a copolymer composed of acrylic acid and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid. Due to its inclusion of carboxyl groups (for inhibiting scale and dispersion) and sulfonic acid groups (with h3 polarity), AA/AMPS has high calcium tolerance and good scale inhibition ability, especially against calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, and zinc scale. When used together with organic phosphorus compounds, there is a significant synergistic effect.
AA/AMPS is suitable for high pH and high alkaline water quality, and is an ideal scale inhibitor and dispersant under high concentration index.

Appearance: Colorless to light yellow viscous liquid
Solid content: minimum 40.0%
Free monomer (calculated as AA),%: maximum 0.5%
Density (20 ℃), g/cm ³： Minimum 1.15
PH value (1% aqueous solution): 3.5-4.5
The uses of AA/AMPS include:
Used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in open loop cooling water systas, oilfield water injection systas, metallurgical systas, and steel plants to prevent the deposition of iron oxides.
When used with organic phosphorus compounds and zinc salts, the appropriate pH range is 7.0 to 9.5.
It can also be used as a dyeing aid in the textile industry.
