What does a Sludge Stripper do?

Sludge Stripper is a chemical specifically designed to remove accumulated sticky mud from industrial circulating cooling water systems, water treatment facilities, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pipelines, and other related equipment. It is composed of the following key ingredients:
Sludge Stripper
1. Disinfectants: capable of killing or inhibiting the growth of microorganisms (e.g., bacteria, fungi, algae) in the system, reducing the generation of slime.
2. Surfactants: Reduce the surface tension between water and dirt, enhance the wetting, penetration and dispersion ability of the agent on the slime, and help to strip the slime from the surface of the equipment.
3. strong penetrating agent: quickly penetrate the slime layer, deep into the bacterial gel inside, enhance the contact efficiency of the agent and the slime, accelerate the decomposition process of the slime.
4. stabilizer: maintain the stability and effectiveness of the agent under the conditions of use, may include pH adjusting agent, antioxidant, etc., to ensure that the stripping agent in the complex water quality environment, stable performance.

The working principle of the slime stripper includes penetration and oxidation, sterilization and depolymerization, stripping and flushing. It can quickly enter into the inside of the slime, oxidize and decompose the organic substances in the slime, release gas (bubbles), destroy the structure of the slime and make it loose. At the same time, the biocide kills or inhibits the microorganisms in the slime, and the surfactant changes the interfacial properties to weaken the interaction between the slime particles, which makes the slime agglomerates disintegrate. Subsequently, the stripper prompts the slime to fall off from the surface of the equipment, forming small particles or flocs that are easy to flow, and ultimately, under the flushing effect of the water flow, the stripped slime is taken out of the system to realize the cleaning of the system.

Sludge Stripper is widely used in various industrial circulating water systems, especially cooling water systems, including cooling towers, heat exchangers, pipelines and equipment, etc., in order to remove accumulated sticky mud, restore cooling efficiency, prevent localized overheating due to sticky mud clogging, remove sticky mud deposits on the inner wall of heat exchanger tubes and the shell course, restore the heat exchanger performance, and avoid energy wastage and overloading of equipment caused by the decrease in heat transfer efficiency. In addition, after stripping the slime, potential corrosion points can be exposed to facilitate corrosion treatment, while removing the slime, a corrosive medium, to reduce the risk of corrosion under the scale.

When using Sludge Stripper, labor protection is required to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Once contacted, it should be rinsed immediately with plenty of water. The product is usually packaged in plastic drums of 25kg or 200kg each and should be stored indoors in a cool and ventilated place with a shelf life of ten months. When using, the recommended concentration is 150–200mg/L, circulating for 24-48 hours to achieve the best stripping effect.
